On April 10, South Africa’s Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, and his teams visited Wasion Technology Park for an inspection and exchange. They were warmly received by Zheng Xiaoping, President of Wasion Research Institute, Tian Zhongping, Chairman of Wasion International, Lü Xinwei, President of Wasion International, and other leaders.
Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa and his delegation first visited the Wasion exhibition and the intelligent manufacturing production center.
Afterward, the two parties held discussions on topics such as renewable energy in South Africa, power grid upgrades, smart distribution and utilization of electricity, and energy management systems, exploring new opportunities for cooperation.
During the meeting, Mr. Tian extended a warm welcome to Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa and his delegation and shared insights into Wasion’s development journey, business presence across Africa, progress in localization, and the practical application and achievements of its products and solutions.
Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa expressed his appreciation for Wasion’s warm hospitality and spoke highly of the company’s technological R&D and practical implementation achievements. He noted that, in the context of the global energy transition, he looks forward to Wasion’s increased participation in South Africa’s energy infrastructure projects—particularly in transmission and distribution, energy storage, and modern grid development—and to deeper collaboration with South African enterprises and organizations in areas such as technology innovation and talent development.
Looking ahead, Wasion will continue to stay closely aligned with the specific needs of the South African market, strengthen customized technology development, and deepen strategic cooperation with local governments and enterprises. Leveraging its localized operational strengths and experience across Africa, Wasion aims to promote knowledge sharing and talent development, support African countries in advancing renewable energy and improving infrastructure, and together, writing a new chapter in the continent’s green energy transition.
