Hungarian Ambassador to China Pesti Máté Visits Wasion to Advance China–Hungary Cooperation in Energy Digitalization


On March 19, the Hungarian Ambassador to China, Mr. Máté Pesti, led a delegation to visit Wasion, accompanied by Ms. Guo Xiangli from the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office. Wasion’s Executive Director, Li Hong, and President of Wasion International, Lü Xinwei, warmly received the delegation. Both sides held in-depth discussions on the development of energy digitalisation and the prospects for China-Hungary industrial cooperation.

 


The delegation first visited Wasion’s exhibition hall, where they received a detailed introduction to the company’s development history, global market presence, core products, technological innovations, and application areas. 

 

At the subsequent meeting, Ms. Li Hong extended a warm welcome to Mr. Máté Pesti and his delegation, expressing gratitude for Hungary’s long-standing support for Wasion’s investment and development in the country. 

 


Mr. Lü Xinwei then highlighted Wasion’s market presence and development plans in Hungary and across Europe. He stated that leveraging its technological strengths in smart metering and energy digitalization, Wasion continues to enhance its localized operations in Hungary, actively creating employment opportunities and contributing to the local economy. 



Mr. Máté Pesti, expressed his gratitude for Wasion’s warm reception and highly praised the company’s R&D achievements and overall development. He noted that 2026 marks a pivotal year for Hungary’s National Digitalization Strategy 2022-2030, with urgent demands in energy digitalization and smart grid upgrades. The ambassador affirmed Hungary’s willingness to support Wasion’s investments in the country, proactively assisting in addressing practical challenges and ensuring the smooth implementation and sustainable development of collaborative projects.

 

The visit by the Hungarian ambassador to China, and his delegation represents a significant opportunity for Wasion to deepen China- Hungary cooperation in energy digitalization. It also exemplifies a vivid practice of technological collaboration and industrial win-win outcomes between China and Hungary under the Belt and Road Initiative. Moving forward, Wasion will continue to leverage its technological and industrial advantages in smart metering and energy digitalization, further strengthen its localized presence in Hungary and Europe, and enhance engagement with local governments and industry partners. Together, these efforts aim to advance the digital upgrading of energy infrastructure and promote green, low-carbon transformation, contributing to pragmatic China-Hungary cooperation and global sustainable energy development.
