Recently, His Excellency President Daniel Francisco Chapo of the Republic of Mozambique led a delegation to visit Wasion Holdings. This visit marks the first overseas trip of the newly elected president, with Hunan, China chosen as the first stop. Wasion Holdings was a key enterprise on his agenda, highlighting the strong traditional friendship between China and Mozambique and the shared commitment to deepening pragmatic cooperation in the energy sector. Senior representatives from Wasion Holdings and Willfar Information accompanied the visit. Both sides held in-depth discussions on Mozambique’s 2030 national development vision, energy infrastructure development, and China-Africa cooperation in energy digitalization, reaching important consensus.

Mozambique’s 2030 national development vision prioritizes the improvement of power infrastructure, smart grid upgrades, and clean energy development, aiming to enhance power supply reliability and energy governance. These priorities align closely with Wasion’s technological strengths and industrial presence. Through integrated solutions including smart metering, intelligent distribution networks, renewable energy integration, and energy IoT management, Wasion is well-positioned to meet Mozambique’s energy development needs. The company can help improve grid reliability, reduce operational losses, and promote green, low-carbon development, providing strong support for Mozambique in achieving its 2030 goals and setting a benchmark for China-Africa cooperation in energy and public welfare.

During the visit, representatives from Wasion Holdings and Willfar Information extended a warm welcome to the president and his delegation. Mozambique has tremendous development potential, particularly in energy infrastructure and digital transformation. With extensive project experience and localized operations across Africa, Wasion can provide one-stop services covering technology, equipment, engineering, operations and maintenance, and talent development. Wasion is committed to leveraging its full industrial chain to actively participate in Mozambique’s energy infrastructure development, promote technology and industrial localization, and support the country in enhancing its independent development capacity, contributing to the deepening of China-Mozambique relations and the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

During the exhibition hall tour, the delegation listened attentively to presentations on Wasion’s core technologies, product portfolio, and global application cases, gaining detailed insights into intelligent sensing devices, energy IoT platforms, and comprehensive smart grid solutions. From China’s power grid modernization practices to global energy cooperation achievements, Wasion’s advanced technologies, integrated industrial capabilities, and solid project experience left a strong impression on the delegation.

At the conclusion of the visit, President Chapo delivered a summary speech on site. He remarked: “Today’s visit to Wasion has been truly impressive. The company’s achievements in the energy sector are remarkable. We understand that Wasion has already established a presence in Africa and has carried out practical cooperation with local power utilities in countries such as Mozambique and South Africa. We sincerely hope that Wasion will invest and establish a manufacturing base in Mozambique to support the realization of our 2030 development vision. We will actively advance the necessary steps and strive to see a Wasion production facility established in Mozambique at an early date. Thank you very much!”

The president’s remarks fully recognized Wasion’s technological strengths and industrial advantages, expressing a strong willingness to advance cooperation. Following the speech, representatives from Wasion Holdings presented the president and his delegation with self-developed core sensing chips and commemorative gifts symbolizing China-Africa friendship.
