T&D/Micro Grid Specialist
North America / North America Office
Responsibilities

·   Lead pre-sales activities in collaboration with sales and marketing, interfacing with customers' technical and commercial teams.

·   Assist marketing and product management teams in commercial bids, including pricing and cost analysis. 

·   Lead post-sales customer support, collaborating with customer service and factory quality teams for the installed fleet.

·   Review and influence customer specifications, identifyling Wasion products and solutions to meet their needs.

·   Provide written technical requirements for exsiting and new products. 

·   Work with hardware, software, and firmware engineering teams to deliver specified requirements and certifications against the established company roadmap.

·   Support product launches and assist in creating publications and training materials with the Marketing communications team.

·   Serve as the "go to" technical expert on reclosers, outdoor breakers, and controls.

·   Consults on development of grid modernization strategy, including Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Automation/ Smart grid and Operational Technology projects, and their integration with the foundational technology architecture. 

·   Establishedes external relationships with industry peers to exchange information and strategies and maintains up to date knowledge of state-of -the-art technology concepts and solutions with an emphasis within the utility industry, but also including non-utility concepts as they map to utility issues.

·   Conduct customer training seminars, perform technical analysis to resolve customer issues, collaborate with Wasion's Distribution Automation team, and participate in specifying new products based on customer perferences.

·   Lead efforts in developing and maintaining technology solutions that willl allow the business to achieve its business objectives through strategic technology investments.

·   Works closely with Cybersecurity staff to implement infrastructure and processes for keeping communications technology systems secure.

·   Provides strategic technology input to business and technical teams to ensure project objectives and appropriate resources are anticipated, allocated and optimized to meet scheduled requirements.

·   Develops and manages relationships and collaboration opportunities with key vendors and technology partners.


Qualifications

·   B.S. in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited college or university (Masters degree in Engineering or Business preferred) or equivalent experience.

·   Minimum 8 years of experience with medium or high voltage electrical products.

·   Demonstrated ability to lead international high-performing teams in large organization.

·   Excellent technical training, speaking and writing skills, with ability to independently conduct presentations and training.

·   Ability to travel (US, Canada, Mexico) up to 50%.

·   Prior experience with electric utilities.

·   Knowledge of Recloser & Grid Automtion Controls highly desired.

·   Experience with developing pricing strategy and preparing technical and commercial documentation for utility bids.

·   Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Wasion in the US.

·   In-depth technical with a focus on Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, Electric Distribution SCADA/Outage. Management System(OMS)/Distribution Management System(DMS) and Advanced Metering Infrastructure(AMI), T&D automation technology.
