Gathering with Wasion at Sendi, Discussing the Future of the Energy Sector

On 7th November 2023, a true show of music, ballet, and Congo, highlighting the culture of Espírito Santo, marked the opening of the XXIV National Seminar on Electric Energy Distribution (Sendi) 2023 on the night of this Tuesday at the Carapina Pavilion. As Latin America's largest electrical energy distribution event, more than 3,500 professional participants were brought together. This exhibition holds significant importance in driving the development of critical themes such as energy transition, the establishment of smart grids, and sustainable development in Brazil and Latin America.

Featuring over 20 renowned domestic and international speakers, more than 200 technical works, and presentations from 21 startup companies, Sendi 2023 is considered the most critical energy seminar in Latin America. As EDP President João Marques da Cruz emphasized, " We focus on creating an environment conducive to the exchange of knowledge and experiences linked to the entire energy distribution chain. We intend to promote debate about the sector's main challenges and opportunities and disseminate the best innovation and sustainability practices. This is crucial for companies like EDP to guarantee a reliable and sustainable supply."

Four years ago, Wasion established a manufacturing plant in Brazil, and with 20 years of experience and technical expertise in energy metering and efficiency management, successfully obtained the INMETRO/CGCRE certification in 2016. It became the first instrument testing laboratory in the Northern region to achieve this certification. Wasion has rapidly gained recognition and trust from customers in Brazil and South America by delivering high-quality products and services. In this exhibition, Wasion's array of innovative products also attracted a steady stream of visitors to their booth.

We showcased our leading Wi-SUN Smart Meter AMI solution to professional audiences and clients and our successful implementation experience from Brazil's first Wi-SUN AMI project. Additionally, we shared our plans for incorporating Wi-SUN technology into new products for the market to meet the growing demand, generating substantial interest from numerous clients.

Wasion has consistently committed to sustainable development, building green factories, organizing environmental-themed employee activities, and continuously introducing more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly products and solutions. These efforts are aimed at helping more businesses and regions implement energy efficiency management to achieve energy savings and reduced emissions.
